Biography

Amelia advises clients on both simple and complex estate planning matters, including the preparation of wills, trusts, and advanced directives. Amelia also counsels individuals and families on wealth transfer strategies for real estate and business interests including assisting in the preparation of IRS filings for transfer tax purposes.

Amelia represents individuals and corporate fiduciaries in both estate and trust administrations. She guides clients through all aspects of the administration of decedent’s estates including intestate estates, heirship determinations and the probate of wills.

Amelia is also passionate about assisting families with children with special needs and families needing to seek guardianship of young adults and family members with diminished capacity. She advises clients regarding the appropriateness of guardianship of both the person and the estate and the applicability of other less restrictive alternatives to guardianship.

Born outside St. Louis, Missouri, Amelia spent her high school years in Connecticut. In her spare time Amelia enjoys reading, exploring Texas, and spending time with her husband Chris and three children.
